Processes range across functions as diverse as finance, sales, operations and HR. McKesson's new European Shared Service Center is now using Comidor and ensuring SOX compliance. Many other processes are in the requirements gathering phase and soon to be developed and deployed by both Rock and internally by McKesson using the Low Code App Builder.
The Results
Complex workflows have now been automated, with role-based access and notifications on the system giving vastly increased visibility and accountability for users at every level. Management information has been transformed and the business is now able to tackle areas of waste and missed commercial opportunities that were previously out of reach.
The customer has so far been delighted with the speed that new processes and workflows can be built and delivered in the Comidor system. The platform is also highly flexible, being able to accommodate the inevitable changes that occur in fast-moving businesses.
Absence management has been implemented which has automated the process for employees and line managers. Users have been empowered with 'self-service' and can request and have an absence approved in minutes. Real time reporting has enabled a better understanding of sickness records and absence history, with payroll information being consolidated and submitted instantly.
Key processes have been automated with extensive business rules ensuring the right employees are reviewing and approving the right tasks at the right time. Many of these processes have solved long standing SOX issues and have improved compliance and governance while reducing risk.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rock developed dedicated mobile apps for McKesson on iOS and Android. The apps were deployed in weeks and enabled key employees to work remotely and approve critical payments and documents.
Document creators have been added to workflows enabling word documents and excel spreadsheets to be automatically populated, exported and emailed as required. The PDF creator has also been added to workflows to send secure documents internally and to third parties.
And the bottom line? A more efficient, engaged workforce, improved compliance and governance and a very healthy return on investment.

The Comidor solution is being rolled out across more departments, covering further processes and workflows. The implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) within the Comidor system is being implemented, as is using Comidor as the master data record within the business.
